Moving with family to bradenton for tennis training , but a really concerned with crime in the area.I have been reading news online , daily and something crazy usually happening in Bradenton.Is the area by IMG academies safe?

I used to live nearby. I went biking on that street many times. I have found that street to be relatively peaceful and safe. Sometimes I would bike there in the middle of the night and I felt completely safe. I saw kids walking home from school on that street every day. Most of the severe crimes that you read about like shootings take place in the eastern part of town. Just remember that crime can happen anywhere.

Mirror Lake is actually on 34th isnt it?? Yes, That particular area is pretty quiet. My parents live in that area. Just a rule of thumb...West of 59th, and East of I75 are the safest. However, the OP was correct, central Bradenton (NOT East..) is the worst. West Bradenton, has pockets of isolated crime but is pretty much older people and is safe. Going East will bring more rural areas--however, on your way out East, you will find the troubled areas..Just keep your eyes opened for suspicious people and always be on your toes..

I used to live in mirror lake on the second floor and felt safe. I would walk my dog everyday down the side walk and in the subdivision next door. The only problem I saw in the 3 years I lived there was some car burglaries. But these people left stuff sitting in plain site or doors unlocked. Which happens even in my new neighboorhood. I wouldn't hesitate to live their again.
