Not really knowing anything about this show just going by the name and picture if the cast I imagine it is going to be ” the big bang theory meets office space” if these guys are suppose to be engineers or programmers they are probably too Anglo to represent a true cross section of the actual silicon valley.

To give the show a little credit (no I haven't seen it, only read about it), it is meant to be lampooning the tech start up/get rich quick culture of a certain segment of Silicon Valley, not give an accurate portrayal of the entire area. The people they are making fun of probably are a bit whiter and maler than Silicon Valley as a whole. Though I agree with the basic point that there should be more people of all cultures on TV in general.

Says the guy who usually chimes in to follow up? Attitude and snark are cheap for me. How much of yourself are you devoting to this?

On topic: Mike Judge worked in the industry, so I'll take his spin on SV over, say, Zuckerberg's worthless tagalong socialite sister.

It doesn't accurately represent Silicon Valley.

Silicon Valley - Cities
It does pretty accurately reflect the Silicon Valley tech industry workforce.

I watched the pilot, and didn't think the show was that good. I certainly didn't see anything in the show that would imply that any of the characters were not straight, or that the characters were closer to each other than normal for American culture, so I don't think the show seemed gay at all.

The tropes were honestly way overdone, and yes it does seem to underrepresent women and asians more than Silicon Valley itself (even in engineering) (actually half of developers in Silicon Valley, the region not the show, are asian), certainly seemed to want to overuse stereotypes, I imagine that will get old by the 3rd ep.
