I think that's up there in the running for greatest win in SDSU men's basketball history. I've only lived here since 2005 but they were a pretty awful program before Fisher got here. The other games on the list I would think would be:

1) beating Gonzaga at Gonzaga in 2010 to start that year's incredible run

2) defeating Temple in the tourney in double overtime to get to the Sweet Sixteen that same year

3) beating UCLA in the Wooden Classic last year in Anaheim and owning the gym

I'm not sure how great this Kansas team is but beating an iconic team like Kansas in their own gym tops the list for me. From Wikipedia:

Since 2007, they have gone 107-2, making Allen Fieldhouse the statistically greatest home-court advantage in all of sports.

What a win, Aztecs!

We watched it and what a wonderful few hours. I remember, back in the days when we attended, what was then San Diego State College. We rarely won a football game, heck we rarely scored a touchdown but we were true to our team. Basketball was a little better, not much and now look at what we have...Not only is it a good school, but people are starting to respect the athletic department. Let's just hope they don't decide to change the mascot to something like; the nice boys or whatever!!!!

Not to mention we had one of the best recruiting classes in the nation this year. Fisher has turned San Diego St into a national power house. Now the problem is going to be, no one is going to want to play us.

My dad use to take me to the games in the late 70's(Smokey Gains Era)
Imo i thought that win over Kansas was Way Bigger than the Chargers.

The best part is that this wasn't some David beating Goliath on a fluke shot or lucky breaks. Our Aztecs literally dominated Kansas, on their court, for 40 minutes. The game was close, yes, but I never really felt like we weren't going to win.

Crazy, isn't it? I don't think anyone predicted them to do anything this year.

Should be number 4 tomorrow
Congratulations to coach Steve Fisher on 300 wins as the Aztecs Head Coach.
Like typical san diegans, I expect nobody in this town to get excited till they reach the sweet 16

Considering it was a close loss for Arizona and that's the one team we lost to, I'm guessing we stay at 5.

This team has got to start shooting better, especially if Davis is going to be banged up. Jamaal Franklin is 15th out of 15 players in minutes played with the Grizzlies. His scoring touch would be helpful for this team once the tourney starts.
