Hello all.

I'm moving to Carlsbad Village and would like some feedback on what people think of the area.

I am in my early thirties and am over the PB scene, but I also don't want to live next to nothing but families in the suburbs of Carlsbad.

How does Carlsbad Village fare? What are the people like in this area? Is it easy to meet people here? Any other areas close by I should consider?

Thanks!

I don't live there, but I'm dating someone who does. I wouldn't mind living there, as it's walkable. It's quieter and more condensed than PB, not as many clubs and restaurants, and I'll use Hennessey's as an example of the club crowd which is older than PB. About the same military crowd in the clubs and also living there, except the guys there are based at Pendleton, not North Island or Miramar. Certainly a lot more cougars too. If you're moving into a big complex I'm guessing chances are good you'll find people you like in your age range.

The families you are looking to avoid live in the communities mostly east of the 5 it seems.
