Hello to everyone in rural northern San Diego County. I would like to move to the area, and I have looked at homes in Fallbrook, Bonsall and Valley Center. All are nice places, but I must have high speed internet service because I own an ecommerce website and I like my streaming video :-) I realize that this is a large geographic area and services will vary, but here are my questions:

1) Is there a cable company with high speed internet service in the area? How fast is the internet service?
2) Is AT&T DSL available everywhere? How fast is it?
3) Is there a satellite internet service that people like? How fast is it?
4) Is there a line-of-sight wireless internet service that people like? How fast is it?
5) While were at it, what cell phone provider has good service in the area?

Thanks,
Mark

I will be interested in the replies, as we have just purchased in Fallbrook. I know, the Seller, who relies heavily on the internet for his business, uses EarthLink and he uses Direct TV, as there is no cable available in that area. I believe they told me, they use Verizon for both land lines (the automatic entry gate is hooked up to it) and cell provider.

Valley Center Wireless in Valley Center sounds reasonable. Dont' know about the other areas. If ATT is there I would go with UVerse.

I live in Fallbrook and have Time Warner Cable, Internet, and home phone. Call them and have them check the address for service. AT&T is available for DSL also, but I live in downtown Fallbrook and the fastest speed they could deliver was 6mbps down when I can get 15mbps down with Time Warner. They offer faster speeds than that but 15 is fast enough for me.

Some areas of Bonsall are serviced by Cox. Valley Center I have no info on.

Wild Blue bounces off the sky I have heard it can be a drop/slow speed issue.
