Bought a new car today, spent 4 hours inside the dealership and the a/c wasn't working very well. Didn't feel much hotter outside compared to inside. When I finally left the temp sensor in the car said it was 98 degrees in Corona.

Normal dealership BS, check this, check that. I traded a car in so that added even more time. Bought a 2011 Nissan Murano S. I hope the reason it took so long is that they resented me for negotiating such a good deal

just stumbled upon this (I've been absent) & wanted to supply my sympathy to the OP's situation. My father lives in a Mobile home, not in the IE though, near LA & although not that hot out there, compared to there, it still sucks having to stay over (for work) and he's old, refuses to put his A/C, and at night I now understand why the heat makes people do crazy things or the feeling to kill someone (my dad comes to thought......NOT), but I do get upset w/him for not letting me turn on the A/C (cheapo). Yea MH's (w/out any cooling solution) heat in the summer is equilvent to the feeling of being in hell, horrible.

** however, I forgot to add, they do have a swimming pool, so that does help

Today is july 27th & i have only used my cooler for approx 3 hrs this yr. My cooler pan is shot so i attempted to seal it with some free plastic roof cement a neighbor gave me. It didnt work so i spent $11.00 & bought 2 qts of submarine cooler coating. It still is soft in the pan so ill just wait until next month to use it. We still have at least 3 more months of heat & so far i have been dealing with only using fans. My cooler pads (aspen) are 4 yr old & shot but they should get me through the next few months. I always shut down the cooler in early oct. Overall its been a hot yet quiet summer for me & the nights have been generally cool. I have never used my cooler at night. I guess living at 2500 feet above sea level is a +.

Default 95 degrees? Hot?

I'm a native SoCal resident (born in LA, raised in Riverside), and every summer I hear people complain about 90-100 degree weather, and not just here, but all across the country. Triple digit temperatures just aren't hot to me, so I've never used A/C, even though I (supposedly) have a good system. Bunch a whiners I say lol. But then again, when it gets to about 65 I blast my heater as if I was in danger of being frozen solid. To each their own I suppose.

It was upper 90s today & i just used my fans to stay somewhat comfortable. Ill wait till the next heat wave to use the cooler. Right now the cooler fan is on & its blowing cool air. At least the days are getting shorter now & summer will soon be over. I live in a mh & its a oven in the summer & ice box in winter but luckily my living room faces east.
