Thanks for the info about the highways everybody. I'll stay off of those if I go out.
I'm in Stone Oak and the street out in front of my house looks like it is mostly dry.
I'm wondering if it's safe to go out as long as you stick to surface streets...

I am about to head to my office at 1604 and bitters, headed from 1604 and Nac. Everything looks pretty dry, but I ate it on my driveway a second ago.

My husband left for work at 5:30 this morning...he didn't have to be in until 7 but he wanted the extra time. He said there were a few places where he could feel that there was no traction for his tires, but he made it there with no problems. He did see a couple other cars that had spun out.

My thermometer says it's 29 degrees outside, but the dripping from the eaves is an indication that there is thawing happening on my roof.

I saw four cars that spun out at 3 different bridges this morning on my way to work around 7am.

Sounds like it was bad timing for Cowboy breakfast this morning- was pretty late into the morning newscast before I saw some coverage of it.

Most of the ice is slush on 1604 now, at least in the North part of town. Traffic is very heavy near 281 though.
