I missed all the downpours this weekend because I was in Dallas! But today was an absolutely gorgeous day. Days like this make living here more enjoyable.

Do you think we will have another cold front this winter?

Define "cold front". We have them most of the year. If you mean cool weather or a freeze, then probably one or two more light freezes this winter and a few more cool days. The weather in south Texas is unpredictable. The official record high for February is 100' and the low is 4'.

Freeze always extends to April. Whether it actually happens or not is another story, but it's not over 'till the old lady sings!

First and Last Freeze for Texas cities

Neil Sperry's gardening book also has the same dates.

Freezes do happen in April, one of the things that makes gardening in south central Texas so challenging, but they're not very likely.
