That storm sent me right back to 1980. Directv went out (briefly), TW had an outage in the area, heck even Sprint service wasnt connecting properly. Only the bathroom tv is connected to an antenna. LOL forgot what it was like to be disconnected completely from the outside world.

Still up in Austin for the weekend.. Can anyone let me know if there was a heavy rain around the downtown area? I tried to find the info on the Express site, but it was hard to find.

Thanks.

Eva Ruth, an Express-News reporter on Twitter, said that the lower level of I-35 was closed for a time this morning, due to high water. It's open now, though.

Something to be happy about for sure

I was on Lackland about an hour ago and the river that runs between that big hill and the horse stables (no idea what its name is) is now a not so small lake. I remember earlier when it was literally gone, completely dried up, and just a few days ago it was just a couple of puddles with no flow. It still has a few feet before it's over the road, but it is definitely swelling well outside its banks and a large area around it was also quite flooded. Also nice to see not so many people out on the roads. Be careful, though. Quite a few brilliant ones literally going about 35 in the left lane on some of the highways. That is dangerous people! I came up way too fast on one on 151. Didn't really expect anyone to be going THAT slow..
