It rained like crazy in Deerfield this evening for about 20 minutes. Nice little river going down the street... maybe it'll clean up the bits of mud and dirt from whoknowswhere the roofers truck tracked into the street and driveway.

we got rain and lost our power, as usual...
one dog hid, one dog refused to come in out of the rain..
cats loved that I opened the windows to let them breathe the rainy air...

it was a beautiful sound!

It poured in Alamo Heights for about half an hour. I was hoping for more, since it continued to thunder and lightening for a while, but I'm happy for what we got.

We got quite a bit of rain here in the medical center area, and it was a blessing. The grass and plantlife need it desperately. The animals need it too as the lack of rain has thinned down the # of wildlife that I am used to seeing.

got quite a bit at the riverwalk too - we had to wait about an hour to head home on the bus due to rain

You're right, we don't update our board until the next day so I was one off on my count!

Actually, I was just looking at the 10-day forecast at National and Local Weather Forecast, Hurricane, Radar and Report and it looks like well be in the high-90s but not breaking the triple-digits anytime during that period. Of course all that is subject to change...and it probably will!

We had a nice steady rain here for about an hour. I enjoyed every minute of it. We wound up with 0.6 inches. Of course Wednesday was my watering day so one way to look at it is I got a free watering day. On the other hand I may have been better off if I had watered on Wednesday and we would have gotten rain on Saturday. Anyway, I have fall Tomatoes in the ground so I'm sure they will respond well to some natural water. My garden doesn't care much for store bought water. It has chlorine in it that is designed to kill microbes. Most of the microbes in myt soil are a good thing. Also store bought water in SA has Floride in it which gives all the bugs in my garden healthy teeth that they use to eat my plants.
