Default whats with this heat??

Anyone else here in San Antonio notice how crazy this weather has become?? weeks of highs in the 100s? has this ever happend here before?? i can only recall a few days out of a year where we hit the 100s..

Bill Taylor has been saying for the past week that June of 1998 had more 100-degree days than June of 2009. I wasn't here then, so I've been taking his word for it. Hopefully, July won't challenge similar records.

There were 12 days of 100 degree temperatures or higher, breaks the record of 11 days in 1990.

June 2009 becomes ties with the 3rd warmest Junes with 86.3 average.

June 2009 becomes the 2nd June on record with highest average maximum, 98.1.

June 2009 becomes the 5th June on record with highest average minimum, 74.5

June 2009 becomes the 11th driest june on record with 0.45 inches of rain from June 1st to June 25th.

This is the driest 22 month period from september 2007 to june 2009 with total precipitation of 23.90 inches.
