Funny thing about insurance. Apparently there was a hailstorm in the area around 2004 or 2005. The whole neighborhood got new roofs put on... except for my place and the neighbor's. The common factor? Both had the same insurance company (nameless, unless someone asks who) which denied both claims.

BTW - 1,000th reply on this thread!

Maybe you're the one who has been repelling the rain?

Lemme catch a flight and fill a tanker up with water to bring back... With any luck my streak will be broken this weekend. It can't go on forever. Of course it'll rain before I get a gutter and rain collection barrel installed...

I just remembered another fun piece of trivia. I visited San Antonio in 2007, and when I left it was supposedly right at the time when the rain stopped.

I'll have to go back to whatever I was doing back then. Really though, I thought there was supposed to be some kind of correlation with dry conditions here and dry weather in southern Mexico?

Both are wrong as heck. We'll be in the 90s, but I don't think we'll be 97.
And as far as the storms go, the dry line has moved through so again, we'ere out of the woods there too.

No correlation at all. Southern Mexico is somewhat dry... well "Tropical Dry" because of the ocean currents in the pacific.

We're dry because the Earth doesn't like our latitudinal placement.
