They caught a tagger on the North side, and this article says he was charged with a felony? Awesome!

i didn't read the article, but that is great ---

dh says that depending on what he was tagging on, ie: school, church, it would be an automatic felony ---

if not, then it goes by amount of damage --- they calculate it at $10 a sq ft --- so if this tagger did a huge amount of tagging and it was over a certain dollar amount he would be charged with a felony

dh says that tagging automatically starts at a class b misdemeanor and goes up from there...

it's about time they managed to catch one... It wouldn't bother me if his cellmate decided to do a little tagging of his own while he's locked up.

Well....he was begging for attention by initialing his "artwork"....and he got it! I'm glad they showed his face on TV and the internet. Some of these "kids" looking for a role model might want to make poster instead.

Now if we could catch the prick doing all the "VAR" tags in/around Alamo Ranch. I assume it's some 15-16 year old(s) and that "VAR" translates to "Vigilantes of Alamo Ranch." I'd really be curious if some property owners got together and started shooting these punks on sight.

Bet you a can of spray paint this guy will be at it again soon. The way he was acting, like he enjoyed the attention. Unless they make an example of him by throwing the book at him.

I have one small problem with the article, that is the use of the term "teenager." Yes, technically at 19 he is a teenager; but what I hear that word I think more along the lines of a minor. Anyone 18 and older is techically an adult (even if their actions don't show it), and I would personally think that it would be smarter to break the connection between this bozo and the other teenagers (the majority of which are under 18). Otherwise, the will feel like he is one of them...

Otherwise, I think this clown needs to spend six months in jail, with a work release program that has him scrubbing grafitti around town in a pink jumpsuit. Otherwise, he'll be back on the streets polluting the world with his "art" faster that you can say 'tagger.'

And I like Scuba Steve's idea, and there should be a reward system set up for whoever brings in a tagger to police. You can hog-tie them and mount them on the hood of your truck if you want. Actually, I would prefer they be brought in that way...

Cheers! M2

ha ha, I'll second all of the ideas here, especially the pink jumpsuit and mounting them to the hood of a truck. That little punk needs that smirk wiped off his face. Hopefully he gets some good jail time and learns to not mess with other people's stuff.
