Back before Blockbuster it used to be a sports bar, one of the most underrated places back in the day.

I haven't seen mention on here about Joseph's Storehouse Bakery and Cafe. The original one on Mulberry and the newest one on Nacogdoches/410 are shut down with notices on the door indicating a lockout back in January. I ate at the Nacogdoches place a few times. Food was good, but pretty pricey for lunch. Maybe the new one didn't succeed and resulted in both being shut down.

Looks like they are gone for good.

Iconic San Antonio bakery, sandwich shop closes - San Antonio Express-News

Sad. I'm guessing it was cash flow. That area didn't have the lunch traffic as businesses on Broadway and The Pearl now have.

There's a Pho restaurant that seems new in the Alon Plaza, if no one has mentioned it.

Gaucho Gourmet will close it's retail operations on May 16th. It will continue to sell wholesale to restaurants and online as well.
