I was trying to remember where the stamp redemption stores were. Was there a Top Value Redemption store south of Babcock on Fred? I can't place Thompsons location exactly. Was it where the Bill Millers is now?

Olds, I remember it vaguely - Miller's Old Hickory.
Hmnhhhmn - Miller's????

The Bar B Que that I liked a lot was up on Vance Jackson -
Towne and Country. Hole in the wall, I think it was To Go Only.

Bob's SmokeHouse at Rigsby and Roland,
some of the best I ever tasted,
and the ambience in that place was intriguing.

Schaefer's on San Pedro.
Really good, I went to school with Roy Jr.
We hung out a lot at their house cause my parents
were friends of Mr and Mrs.
They had a full size pool table in the play room at their house.
Jr had a brand new Vespa. Second two wheeler I ever rode.

Before the Vespa, I was foolin around with this -

That is a really cool picture. My dad was in the navy too and was probably about the same age in 1947. He was born in 1927. The girls are drinking Cokes. Does that mean they were underage? Is that Budweiser ?

please excuse if I am boring you but I am watching the weather to see what will happen. I had to evacuate a few years ago when everyone thought the Medina Dam would break. I ended up in a Red Cross shelter. I hope no one ever has to experience that but it was not that bad. I was just glad my home was there and nothing happened.
