The West Ave & Blanco area is "rough"? I think y'all may just be a little too frail in San Antone.

Oh, and why am I not surprised that someone actually blamed most of the problems on a small handful of blacks from Katrina?

That area has a lot of apartments. So, yeah, you will have theft. I lived on Parliament across from Churchill, but had my own garage and felt safe. Just be smart and lock your up your $hit. LOL.

That may protect your car but it can also create a home invasion situation...if a burglar thinks no one is home.

Personally I always thought parking a car in a garage to be a waste of valuable real estate.

That is what the garages are purpose built for, storing cars. Reduces risk of vehicle theft or burglary, allows you to get to and from your car without walking through the rain, especially helpful when unloading groceries, etc. Added benefits are not having to deal with a foggy windshield locally, and not having to scrape snow/ice in more northern areas.

There could be many reasons why someone doesn't use their garage. What is YOUR business is how YOU use your garage. What is NOT your business is how someone else uses his/her garage. Living in a HOA neighborhood is always an option if you feel people should be told what to do on their own property.

We know that SA area was part of Mexico at one time and so was most of Texas. It hasn't been for many many years now. What was your point again?

Looking at property crimes the Blanco@West ave is rough. Violent crime is extremely low in that area.

I think the poster was simply giving advice on how to not become a victim of car burglary.

So. When you bought your property did you let the previous owner store things at their old residence? Was is history. This is America. I am tired of my tax dollars being spent trying to incorporate these people. Mexicans think they should get preferential treatment. Too bad. They are too problematic for us to deal with now. We have enough problems policing our own.
