Why don't you just go down the road to Potranco, there's one next door to HEB+

That's a good link, Aquajox...this is the link I continually check out to see if anything's been updated for Potranco Market.

Fulcrum Property Menu (broken link)

There's also a link on the above site to the new development off 1604 and Braun Rd but again, nothing updated in a while.

As far as the Granada, someone posted a few pages back that they had contacted Santikos and the plan is not to break ground on the Granada until their theatre in Houston is done... so I'm thinking next year maybe? I hope and pray we get some good stores around the theatre complex... instead of Payless, CATO, nail salons, dollar general, etc. There are people on the far west side who would like more upscale shopping and I don't know why developers can't see that.

Default Upscale shopping

While I whole heartedly agree with you passitup, that there are folks over here who would love to have some stores that are a little more upscale, I'd venture to say that the reason that developers/companies don't gamble on it is because of demographics studies like the one on the Levcor website. When it says that only a little over 500 households out of the estimated 3422 had incomes of over $100k in 2006 (with Avg. and Median incomes of $75K and $66K respectively), they probably don't see the area as able to sustain more upscale stores. Heck, I was even glad to get Kohls close by. At least I was able to drive down the street to get Converse and Keds!

Hopefully, the developers will see that all the new homes being planned will only raise the demographics in the area. Briggs Ranch, Stevens Ranch, Redbird Ranch, Bella Vista, The Orchards and the Felder Tract land across from Briggs Ranch will have upscale homes/townhomes and will only add to the median incomes and the demand for more upscale shopping on the far west side.

After looking at the link that Aquajox posted that had a page showing new home developments coming or planned for the area, I noticed that it's not the Dove Creek area that is getting new homes, but a new neighborhood south of it called Dove Canyon...just to the SE of the southern portions of Amhurst and just to the north of Laurel Mountain Ranch on 1604.

Laurel Mountain Ranch is the last neighborhood just inside the NISD line so all available land outside of 1604 and north of Laurel Mountain is being platted for new homes which might explain why Dove Canyon is being developed so closely to the Dove Creek manufactured home community.

There were alsoplans for a movie theatre off of 151, Atlantis stadium I believe.
A guy I work with is a manager of Cielo Vista and he said the company that was doing Atlantis changed their mind. Not sure why, but my guess is an oversaturation of movie theaters in the area..

Do you guys think that this area is ready for a Sushi Zushi? For those who haven’t had lunch there, it can be pretty pricy. I had lunch yesterday and it was 23 bucks! I had one roll which is a 10 piece and a small cup of rice. Their food is great though. (for those who like Sushi)

I'm personally never ready for sushi anything.. cooked fish and almost all other seafood are some of my favorites, but I'll leave the raw stuff for the aquarium..
