Does anyone know of any place that offers short term rentals (3-6 months) for either apt, town home, or house in northeast area?

I would look at internet sites for short term rentals and narrow the search to those areas. This site is not appropriate to find what you want.

I went through this recently with my Dad, who escaped winter in Minneapolis by coming to SA for a couple months. We found that the places advertised as short-term or corporate rentals were pretty limited. We did find, however, that most apartments will do shorter term leases, they just charge a premium for them. My advice would be to find a location that you like, and talk to them, regardless of whether or not they list an option for a short term lease. In my Dad's case, an apartment that normally rented in the $1000/month range, he rented for two months for $1250.... Sorry, can't help with Northeast locations, as our locations were far west side. You may want to use hotpad.com, and in the keyword field, put 'short term' when you search. There are places that advertised as having short term leases available.
