My husband starts a job in S.A. on May 3rd. We thought we had a place lined up for him to rent, but the owner rented it out from underneath us! We will be buying a house in the (hopefully) near future. Does anyone have any rental property, or know of anyone with rental property, they would be willing to rent for 6 months or less? We are finding lots of places to rent, but everyone wants a 12 month lease. This would be for a professional man, in his 40's. He'd like to bring his dog if possible.

I'd suggest looking at the listings via the net @ the Express-News....or contact a Realtor, tell them what you need in preparation for buying a house. Knowing that they have a "live buyer" coming will quite possibly entice them to find you a short-term rental. Just be fair - if they find you the rental, use 'em for the purchase as well!

We live at the Vantage Apts in New Braunfels (just outside of San Antonio) I know they have them in San Antonio and they do short term leases. They also allow pets. I know a home might sound better but for short term these places are quite nice, and they always have openings because they have short term leases. Check out their website

look into a buyers clause for your lease. dont volunteer any information about how long you plan on staying. with this setup it doesnt matter what length of lease you sign.

i am going this weekend to sign my lease on a short term rental. I was surprised to see so many places that would do 6 month rentals. i am working with an Jerry from
