Good day all! I am moving to San Antonio at the end of May for a civilian job at Fort Sam Houston. My husband is active duty Navy and will be moving our household goods and our kids to Texas before school starts and he will be returning to California until he retires next Spring. Anywho....I am looking for a fairly inexpensive but safe short term rental, furnished with utilities for the summer while I look for a house to buy. Nothing big, a studio/1 bedroom will be fine since it will be just myself.
Could anyone give me recommendations? Prefer not too awfully far from Fort Sam, but I put safety over convienance of commute.

There are some HomeTells and Apartments like you described. I know there is one on Perrin Beitel - not near Fort Sam but you might try to Google or maybe someone here can recommend. Good Luck and Welcome!

Thank you for the welcome! I look forward to any advice, recommendations, etc on this site. It is highly helpful, especially in my situation where I cannot come out in advance. I am looking forward to living in Texas once again.

everything you could possibly want is located BLOCKS from ft sam. i, myself, live VERY close to ft sam and there are TONS of houses here that are for rent. most have been converted to tri/quad units, but some are small houses.

rent is pretty damn good here also, ranging from 350 a month to 600 a month for a 2 bedroom. in fact, there is a FOR RENT sign on the kings palace chinese restaurant that lists a 1br for 350 and a 2br for 550 that claims its blocks from the eatery.

please, PLEASE do not DM me asking for more info. also, please dont DM me asking ab out the unit next to me that is for rent. nothing says CREEPY GO AWAY like asking a stranger on the internet for the info on the place next door.
