Anybody know if the Little Manila asian grocery store in Roseville (on Pleasant Grove Blvd) or any other market sells fresh fish and/or deep fries it for you on the spot for take-out? We used to have a few local mom & pop asian markets do this for us when we used to live in Riverside, CA. We're flying in next week for a house hunting trip to Roseville/Rocklin, but we won't have time to look for little conveniences such as that. I know southern burbs of Sacramento has these on Broadway and Stockon Blvd, but was curious about northern burbs. Thanks for any help there!

Hmm, this place appears to be literally next door to my kids' daycare. I'm surprised I haven't noticed it. (This place's address is 1265; the daycare is 1265.) I'll scope it out.

I do know there's a Filipino place across the street called Loompya, and they carry fast food / takeout items. Not sure about fresh fish though.

Sorry, Sal, appears to be just a small store that carries snacks, dry goods, and convenience items. It's certainly no Ranch 99 market. LOL.

Oh, I was driving through Harding Blvd (which becomes Galleria Blvd as you head north) and noticed a sign announcing an "Oriental Market" opening soon. (I have to snicker at that term.) Could be promising....or not. We'll see.

So has the oriental market opened up yet? it would be great if they had one. I'm actually planning on moving out there from San Jose which has a boatload of oriental markets.

Yep, it's open! Been about a month now. I've been there a couple times. Its product selection is definitely more Filipino-centric, but they've got some other Chinese / Japanese / Korean items too. They have fresh fish!!! They are supposed to be bringing in a fryer too.

It's at 203 Harding Blvd, a few blocks north of Douglas.

New market goes oriental - Granite Bay

Wow, this is great. During my house hunt, I was wondering if there was any. Thanks for the link.

Btw, how small/big is the Filipino/Asian community up there in Roseville?
