I'm with TrapperL on going over to a generator and using electric tools as much as possible. We've now got 2 generators, an 1800 watt and a 3500 watt unit. Both fit in the back of a 6x6 ATV, with the smaller one easy to lift up by one person. With 4-stroke engines and using non-ethanol fuel in them, they start/run reliably for us. Much quieter, easier to start, and we can put them up for a winter without worry for the next season. Been doing this now for 12 years.
My first foray into electric chainsaws near the house convinced me that they are adequate for 99% of the uses around the farm/ranch. Quiet and convenient to use, their limitation is for those big tree felling projects which come up very rarely and need a bigger more powerful gas powered chainsaw. But we've reached a point in our lives where those projects are best done by pro's who can deal with the logistics of such a sizable project ... only needed to do this twice in the last 20 years with removing a dozen old dead cottonwood trees. Trimming up trees around the ranch no problem with the electric chainsaw. Firewood chores to make 14" long chunks that fit into my wood cook stove firebox? no problem.
