Thanks for saying this, as I think you recognized what was going on here.

Thanks for your honest opinion, Yellow925. Personally I'd take my kids to Children's museum and Science museum much more often than Seabreeze for a better educational purpose.

And that's totally fine! We all have different tastes and comfort zones. I went to RMSC a few times as a kid (not too long ago lol) and loved it.

If you are going to rent, this may help: Rochester, NY apartments and classified listings from the The Renters Guide Magazine.

Rush-Henrietta, West Henrietta, Caledonia, Mumford, Avon-Lima all good choices. Scottsville is beautiful but can be a minor hike to 390. 390 is the main artery, you are correct!

Check out Hamlin State Park, its a $5 charge for the car but keeps the riff raff out and you get a nice beach, a cool pier, some playgrounds, cleaner water etc. Bring a picnic lunch. Strong Museum of Play is a great choice! The downtown library had a 'secret room' behind a bookshelf that I loved as a kid - so cloak and dagger...

PS I used to live in Potsdam for college, passed through Watertown many times.

Welcome!

PS Darien Lake is about 45 minutes west (between Roc and Buff) and is a great camping ground- amusement park. Just keep tabs on when the concerts are and avoid those days with little ones
