This thread is proof that Rochester people are in denial about how crappy the weather is here. We've had maybe 6 days where it has been 80 degrees this spring yet all you people talk about the weeks of 80° weather.
And the days it was 80° was always followed by a day of 40° the next day again bipolar weather. The weather in Rochester sucks just admit I don't know why you people pretend like it's okay
in any part other part of the country is nice early March. In Rochester it's not actually spring until May. I don't know why someone to live in a city where you get snow all the way up until the end of April. This is not some freak occurrence we routinely get snow all the way up until the end of April.
There is so much factually inaccurate about this post I don't even know where to begin.
I definitely think this weather is a slap in the face after the beautiful spring we've been having so far...but at least we know it won't be long lasting. Cool for the rest of this week and then back to the 60's (which is typical for this time of the year) for next week. We have been spoiled this year for sure and got a little too used to the weather being late spring/ early summer weather when it was still late winter/ early spring.
I agree this has been some awful weather after our wonderful winter but I decided that seeing I can't do a thing about it, I tried to find the positives. And they are:
1) If the warmer than normal weather continued, our trees, flowers , and more importantly, our locally grown produce would be way ahead of schedule and no doubt inferior. As it is, I have tulips that never made it and peonies that are iffy. Just hoping the strawberries, the family' s favorite, are ok.
2) It beats hurricanes and tornados...
3) When heading into work everyday, nice weather just makes it harder. Being a school employee, I'm pretty sure nice weather will be ours everyday by the end of June.
And finally, there are worse things to be dealing with than bad weather....if that's your biggest complaint, be thankful
this crappy weather has killed the plants I planted earlier this month. Like I said this place is like Siberia I don't know why anyone would want to live here when they could be living in a nice sunny warm place. The weather here is awful it is actually warmer in some parts of Alaska than Rochester. In my opinion I would much rather go through a hurricane than this. All a is hurricane is strong wind t about 100 miles an hour we had wind about 70 to 80 miles an hour here so we have practically had a hurricane.
