Looking to move to rochester area from long osland and high taxes. I have heard that rochester area taxes are also super high. Nay suggestions if looking for area with home and a few acres and great schools, medical care, shopping, all rochester has to offer. Should i look in bordering counties?
How far is cyde ny from main rochester? Is that area good?
Far as acreage and whatnot, with lower taxes than Monroe, I'd recommend NW Ontario or northern Livingston counties. Parts of western Wayne could fit that profile as well, but taxes there are high. A friend in Williamson has 5 acres with a private pond.
Either what Howard said, or look West of Rochester out towards the Brockport/Holley/Kendall region, I was out there today for a family picnic and there are a few homes for sale while I was browsing out of my own curiosity in the 100-170k range. Mind sharing what your price range is? That really helps in this area, because you can pick up a pretty nice 1500+ sq/ft home on an at least an acre for well under 200k if you play your cards right. If you have more than 200k to spend, well, the skies the limit really.
