Quite a bit of trouble in the Wanskuck area last night, in addition to this shooting this evening. Union Liquors on Admiral St. was robbed at gunpoint just before 8pm, then just after 10pm there was what appears to be an armed carjacking at the Cumberland Farms on Branch Ave. (over there next to the problematic McDonalds). A man was getting gas, when suspect flashed what appeared to be a gun and got away with his vehicle.

"Providence police are investigating an incident overnight in which a man said he was hit in the face with a rifle - by his landlord.
About Incident Police responded to a report of shots fired shortly after midnight Sunday morning off of Atwells Avenue at Amsterdam Avenue. The victim told police he had been involved in a verbal altercation with his landlord. According to police, the victim said his landlord, who complained he was playing music too loud, came to his basement apartment with a rifle. The victim said his landlord fired several rounds, then hit him in the face with the rifle. Police reportedly located and detained the landlord outside the residence and are currently investigating the incident."
