I have a daewoo and my rear brake lights don't work. I have changed the bulb. I don't know where the fuse is at for the brake lite. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY REAR BRAKE LIGHT TO WORK?
Your owner's manual should show where the fuses are, and which fuse this is.
Could be the switch as well - I don't know Daewoos that well, but in general the brake light actuation switch is either a pushbutton type switch that turns "on" as the button is released, the brake pedal holds the button down when it's all the way up. The other common type is a pressure switch that you will find on the master cylinder, usually (techically it could be anywhere in the brake hydraulics, but its generally on the MC).
Does your high-mounted (3rd) brake light work?
You can test the switch by pulling the wires off and bridging them together, if you do that the brake lights should come on, if not, there are problems other than the switch in the system.
Don't panic, this is not a hard fix, the only real mistake available to you is to go to some hillbilly repair shop where they will bugger around in your wiring hunting for the problem.
