True, but they don't look exactly the same. Look at a Camry and E350... an Accord and TL are actually different cars. The TL is the European version of the Accord.
Yeah, but they are still but* ugly!!! Why the management at Pontiac changed the names to G whatever is beyond me. It was as stupid in my opinion as changing Oldsmobiles names. We see where that led to! But the new GM cars and Fords are all everybit as good of quality as toyodas or hondas. Proof is the toyoda managements meeting on quality and how to catch up again!
I will sit in a G5, but it does not sound like a good option for me. I am 6'1" and 210. I also have no interest in anyhting that is not at least a little bit fun to drive.
Since you seem to be looking for a small domestic car that's also fun to drive, I'd check out Saturn Astra and Ford Focus also. Those, to me, are the most interesting domestic small cars, and the Focus is very good for tall drivers (not sure about the Astra). Maybe wait for the Euro Focus to come out in 2010, since that should be an improvement on the current American Focus, as far as "fun" goes. It's a shame that, even though American cars can compete in every other category, the current American small cars have nothing on the Mazda 3 or Honda Fit.
If you're looking for one step up size-wise, I think the Malibu and Fusion are good choices also.
The Pontiac G8 is a good car - full size for the price of mid size like a Camry.
Actuly they are between compact and small midsize, but I'm used to real Mid sized and full sized cars! Anybody want to checkout my real full sized 72 Lincoln? Now that's full sized!
I don't know why, but i read it like you were yelling. Oops! I didn't want you to be mean to ColdJ...........but now that i re-read it i see that you were just correcting......my bad, you known i luv ya.
The G8 is a V8 RWD car and a, uh, G8. The Lucerne is a V6 FWD grandpa-mobile and a, uh, Lacerne.
Most GM cars have a counterpart under some other lable. All sedans look pretty much the same to me. Since G8 is apperently POntiacs top model and Lucerne is Buik's I thought that the might be the same. If I knew they were different I - uh - would not have asked.
