Yes, this is an older post...

You're wrong in saying that you can't be evicted from your home if you violated the lease....that's the only you can be evicted.

If you allowed someone to move in, and didn't get the landlord's permission and didn't add them to your lease, you most certainly can be evicted once your landlord finds out they are there.

What are you crying about? Have you told them to leave? If not, maybe looking in the mirror will show you whose enabling the problem to exist!

how can she afford a lawyer when she refused to pay you $200?

She is a grifter, a user, someone who takes advantage of "nice guys". She knows what she is doing.. she just found someone she can take advantage of.. someone working the system. she will go onto the next victim once she leaves your house. So sorry for this.

Call child protective services she is abandoning her kids you do not have to take them anywhere and start eviction try to find some help for the elderly in your town or city hall. Tell her to leave or foster care will take her kids away and she will have to leave anyway.

I’m in Texas and going through the same thing. My house guest from hell is mentally unstable. She talks to herself loudly saying “everyone going to jail” and talk to her dogs like they are human. When I’m at work it is worst. She screams and hollers and also calls the police for bogus things. My neighbor downstairs called the landlord and they told her to call the cops. Now the landlord knows she’s there along with her dog but haven’t contacted me about the situation. Is it wise to talk to my landlord to get her out or go through the justice of the peace to get her evicted? She was only supposed to stay for a few days and it’s been several weeks. I’m so depressed. I need her out immediately.

She is your tenant. You will need to give her proper written notice of termination of tenancy. That's a month in Texas. If she doesn't leave by the deadline you file for eviction.

That being said, if she's violent and abusive and you fear physical assault, you can take out a restraining order which will have her removed more quickly.

If she hasnt been there 30 days, i believe you can just have police tresspass her. Especially if they arent paying rent.
