Well I'm off to the beach again tomorrow morning until the following Tuesday. I know it's not upbeat for all of you...but it's great for me and the kids.

Also I had two dogs adopted out of my house this weekend...we are down to seven now...hopefully down even more when I get back.

Default Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

In anticipation of what is undoubtedly going to be a somewhat anxiety provoking day tomorrow, I had a lovely, (lovely) conversation with a very dear, sweet man, whose voice and demeanor have calmed me remarkably.

There is something so nice in being calmly comforted....

--Perhaps this post doesn't qualify as "upbeat," but it works for June!

P.S. Thank you....

Sounds upbeat to me! That's great June! If only we could ALL be comforted so easily

Default I find this upbeat....

When I transferred to my current work location 4 yrs ago, on the wall in my work area was the following poem left behind by the previous worker. There was no author listed and I don't know if it was "borrowed" from another writer. But it just rings true with me and I find it lifts me up during bad days. Thought I'd share it with all of you and I figured this was the best thread to do it on.

"God hath not promised skies always blue,
flower strewn pathways all our lives through;

God hath not promised sun without rain,
joy without sorrow,peace without pain.

But God hath promised strength for the day,
rest for the labor, light for the way,
grace for the trials, help from above,

Unfailing sympathy...Undying love...." -- Unknown

Poem: LORD, WHY MUST I SUFFER?
By: I don't know maybe somebody else knows who this is from.

I prayed to the Lord for my troubles to cease,
But instead of departing, they seemed to increase.

Each day found new problems I’d not faced before,
And so my depression just grew more and more.

I begged and I pleaded, "Lord, please let me die!
If You can’t ease my pain, at least tell me why."

The lord said, "My dear child, I love you so much!
And I could have erased all those tears with one
touch.

But I wanted to teach you to cling to My hand,
And trust Me for things you cannot understand.

I wanted to show you that when things go wrong,
My strength in your weakness will make you grow
strong.

You’ve suffered because you were chosen to be
A light for the lost, and a witness for Me.

As you travel the pathway I’ve laid out for you,
You will meet many hearts that are suffering too.

And because you have been there, and know what they
feel,You can show them My love, and can help them to heal.

‘Twas then that I wept, as I fell on my knees,
And I gave thanks to God for not granting my pleas.

For had I not suffered, and felt such despair,
How could I have known the extent of His care?

Oh, Lord, make me worthy to share Your great love,
And help hurting souls reach Your Heaven above.

Wow! Those were both AWESOME! Thank you both for sharing those.
They were both very uplifting!
I'll have to print those out and frame them and put them on my wall, I kind of have a collection like that
