The Ante-Diluvian period ,the ages of people were from 600-900 years old,post- diluvian period the average ages were 120. Sin had enterd the world when Adam and Eve had eaten the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden. This was man's demise and the world had begun to deteriorate,The Garden of Eden was to have been a paradaisical utopia and yet evil(Satan)had tempted man to sin.
Today, the average age of men and women is in the 70's , even with scientiific and medical discoveries that have enabled people to live longer than say a century ago,there are more pollutants in the air with all of the cars on the road and the stress that comes with it. There have been many wars fought ,many lives lost,but sin is still present and will be until end times,but thank goodness we have a Saviour in Jesus Christ.
i have had this discussion with people before. I believe it could be due ot the genetic code being so pure back in the day.
Adam and eve being made perfect, no flaws in the genetic code. then sin is introduced to them, and I think that begins the deteriation of the code.
Back then it was still so pure you could, and did have offsrping with brother and sister and cousins ect ect . But as time goes on God makes the law that close relation can no longer mate. Back then people didnt know why. Of course we know, because we get a good chance of deformities or something else if incest occurs.
As much as todays society would view all that as being sick, it was a complete different worold back then and society as it is today.
As for the Global flood, once it happened people didnt really have them super long life spans. People still lived long, but over time the span shortens, and i think this is due to genetic break down.

Could you explain how sinful behavior can change your genetics? That's a very weird explanation so maybe you could elaborate on it so we can understand it. Are you suggesting that sin is something that can exist independently like a disease and once you catch it it's going to wreak havoc with your genetics?
