Thank you. I'll tell you another.

A fella goes to the doctor and says "Doc, I gotta song runnin' through my head constantly and can't shake it, it's driving me crazy".

"What's the song"? asked the doctor.

"The Green Green Grass of Home" was the reply.

"Ah" said the doctor, "the Tom Jones Syndrome".

"Is it common Doc?"

"It's not unusual."

Rev. Warren J. Keating, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Yuma, AZ, says that the best prayer he ever heard was, "Lord, please make me the kind of person my dog thinks I am."

prayer is just wishful thinking. it makes the prayer feel better and, at the same time, can put the ownership of a goal onto someone/thing else.... easily just say you didn't achieve because maybe god didn't want me to or he had another path for me.

yes, bad example but you get the point.

Try reading the Bible through before asking such questions. The instructions to pray are right in there. Why are you asking people instead of Him?

Prayer goes something like this;

A starving man wandering through the desert stumbles upon a merchant.

Says the man to the merchant; " have you anything to eat?"

Says the merchant; " I only have neckties"

"NECKTIES! ARE YOU CRAZY! Where can I get some FOOD!" says the man

"Walk that way over that mountain" says the merchant

Days later, the exhausted man returns to the merchant, and says;

"I need you help, there was a sign outside the resturant that read,

DRESS CODE: MUST WEAR A NECKTIE

Prayer is one of those "good habits" that a christian or believer pick up as they come to know the creator ..It is a conversation between them in that the believer reveals His joys and troubles and praises to God, knowing without a doubt that he will receive the peace, comfort and answere he seeks..
