I lift up the lives of our State Troopers and all law enforcement officers. I also lift up to you our soldiers in the military forces. I ask you Father to protect them as they work to protect us. They have given their lives, to protect ours. Father, keep them safe and be with their families as they leave each day to perform their duties. I cannot imagine the fear of a wife each time her husband leaves for a new shift. I pray Father that you protect them all.
Thank you Father for your grace.
In Christ's name I pray, Amen.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Although there hasn't been any improvement in the job/move situation for us here I know eventually there will be. I would like to ask you to keep praying for us to find the answer for us.
Also I'm becoming a prayer hog...I need a little prayer that my ribs heal fast. I fell off a bike (actually I abandoned ship before crashing into what I thought would have been a worse fall...into a ditch full of tall grass and probably ticks...eeewwww!) and fractured two ribs right next to my sternum. I am in incredible pain and can't take pain meds during the day because they make me loopy and the 5 year old would totally run a muck here if I weren't on my game. The doctor said it will take weeks. I don't know what I'm looking for here, but I'm doing too much and it hurts...and there is no way for me to do less right now. Soooooo....
Thanks!
Will definitely be praying, irish! When did this happen?
May God bless you all with whatever you need help with, also special prayers are sent for those that are ill or those that are close to them and share in their suffering.

A week ago yesterday. I actually didn't know I fractured anything until yesterday. The pain was getting worse and not better so I finally went to the doctor. I knew I was bruised (and most of the other scrapes and bruises are gone or almost gone) but when the pain in my chest was getting so severe that I couldn't move with out wincing I figured I'd better have it checked.
The moral of the story is: DON"T wear flip flops while riding a bike.

Praying for quick healing. I know all too well how hard it is to "take it easy". That just isn't in our job description.
God bless you and all mother's who just need a break.
Sorry, ya'll. Guess this is my day to request prayer for local situations, but here's another one--here in Dallas there is a massive gas explosion downtown which keeps exploding repeatedly. It is a very dangerous situation. They haven' even been able to deal with it yet due to the repeated explosions. Please pray no one is hurt. This is really an unusual, very massive situation or I wouldn't post it here.

Oh Kaykay, I immediately turned on the news and this is quite bad. I see that at least two are seriously hurt. This is in my prayers.

Girl, you are lucky that you didn't puncture your lung! It takes quite a while for ribs to heal and you must not move around very much. I know, quite impossible with a little one underfoot. Hang in there and try to take it as easy as you can. I will be praying for you..

My doctor always give pain meds sparingly so when she asked if I wanted them I said yes for night time so I could sleep..so she wrote the prescription. I looked at it and saw that she wrote a 2 month supply and knew I was in trouble!Seriously I must be getting old, because if it's one thing I am is a talented clutz...I've always taken bad falls and come out with just some scrapes and bruises. But not this time.
And yes I am thankful that it wasn't worse than it is, only hairline fracture and contusion.
Irishmom, I praying that your pain is minimal. Kaykay, my mom called me this morning to let me know about the explosion. Several of the buildings around where my husband works were evacuated, his wasn't, but everyone there seems safe. (he's at the TXU building on Bryan Street). Everyone else too, please know you are all in my prayers.
My friend, Judy, went for a 2nd MRI Monday and is met with her doctors last night to discuss her options. I'm waiting to hear word. It's looking like she's going to have to go through another craniotomy. Please keep her in your prayers.
Thank you to everyone on this forum. I feel like we are all friends even though I wouldn't recognize any of you if I bumped into you at the grocery store. I appreciate being able to come here and feel welcome each time.
