Christian witches? Who understands them? Who is one? If you are what type of Christianity do you practice or is it more of a heritage? What type of witchcraft? Ceremonial magic? Low magic? Mind magic?
It is clear most Christians and most witches will not understand how to combine the two but feel free to discuss that angle as well.

Maybe you ought to take this to the Christianity forum.

There are religions that practice judeo-christian beliefs and also practice what they claim to be 'magic'. Santeria for one, combines catholicism with magical practices. Qabbalah is 'magic' for the Jews. There are probably others, but the so-called magical religions were never of much interest to me so I haven't studied them.
Maybe you ought to take this to the Christianity forum.
See the above post. Santeria does not belong in the Christianity forums and neither do any other syncretic combinations that might or might not contain overt pagan elements. By default most Christians would not consider this as Christianity and so it is not really them who would be the most ideal to discuss this with.

Actually, Santeria probably does belong in the christianity forum, and if there were a Judaism forum, that's where Qaballah would belong. As far as pagan elements -- christianity is chock full of them.
Actually it does not. First of all if one searches for 'santeria' I found 11 hits for it being mentioned in Religion and Philosophy, 4 hits in Christianity, and 3 in Atheism and Agnosticism. Christian witchcraft also would not belong in a Pagan forum either. If anything a New Age forum perhaps?
Primarily though Santeria has a Catholic facade but is definitely more pagan. Do not get caught up on them using Catholic saints to hide their Yoruban deities which was done to preserve their indigenous African religions. Their rituals are anything but Christian.
Now something like Curanderismo definitely is more closely related to Christianity but because it is structured like these other systems, such as the cunning folk of Europe, they also does not belong in a Christian forum. Much of the magic involved in these systems that do blend with Christianity predate it (such as the folk healing aspect in Curanderismo) or originated outside of a Christian framework (such as those who blend Wicca with Christianity for example).
I also understand Christianity has many pagan elements, I did post overt pagan elements though where it is understood and freely admitted that certain practices and beliefs fall outside of a traditional Christian framework.
If you are posting your view because you are a Christian witch and wish to further define how one can go about being one, then I understand, but if you are attempting to define what Christian witchcraft is from a non-practitioner perspective, then that is taken into consideration as well.

Sorry, all religions are make-believe, including christianity and magic-based religions. Anyone that thinks they can actually cast spells is fooling themselves, right along with anyone that thinks they're going to go somewhere after they die.
Mercury, I thought that you didn`t believe in any religion and that they are make believe. If this is true, then why even bother asking a question about "religion." You said that you don`t believe in God.
