It's possible, because they transcribed, copied and distributed these grimoires, even though it was absolute heresy to do so.

As I said, there's a vague documentary argument that can be made to answer in affirmative to your questions, but the record is sketchy. I only posted it as food for a bit of thought for the Occult minded.

I know the clergy was downright hostile at times and indifferent at other times to Biddy Early.

Biddy Early - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Notice how it was the church and the land owners who opposes her type of magic...in favor of their own. She on the other hand always encouraged others to be faithful and go to church though she never went herself.

Biddy Early is a faith healer, same as Don Pedrito Jaramillo, same as Edgar Cayce, same as Nostradamus. They all made minor prophecies too. Nostradamus and Cayce are more known for prophecy but each of them also were involved in faith healing and had they not been involved in prophecy their reputation would have been carried on the healing powers.

Funnily enough, there really isn't much difference between a christian who has a word for someone and a psychic who does a reading for someone.

Both have similarities when comparing the two!

Just my 2c!
To each their own!

That is quite right. Sometimes Christians will also 'carry a burden' for someone not knowing what this other person is in need of but when they finally offer to do something for or give something to this other person they will be thankful for their help and tell them they indeed needed help. Psychics have also been known to know when someone else is struggling.

Also Pentecostals who fall into the Spirit and begin "prophecying" (which has nothing to do with predicting the future but is usually just words of encouragement for the congregation) in plain speech where others believe it is God speaking through them. Classic trance state comparable to Voodoo ceremonies where it is believed that the divine is speaking through them.

It is clear most Christians and most witches will not understand how to combine the two but feel free to discuss that angle as well.
Hey...it's just another one of those imaginary devils referred to in the bible. Conservative estimates are that good Christian people put about 100,000 innocent young women to death because of one verse in the ancient writings. "Thou Shalt Not Suffer A Witch To Live"

When it comes to "Following Blindly" there's nobody in the world better at it than "Religious Folks." Have you read the complete account of Jim Jones and the slaughter at Jonestown? That group of over 900 people who were followers of Jim Jones aka GAWD, voluntarily drank a concoction of kool-aid and poison. Our government had been investigating the cult for months trying to break it up but simply couldn't do anything about it. Jones had a mental condition aggravated by drug addiction and the "sheep like" people followed him over the cliff anyway.

I always feel sorry for the children. They have an excuse for something like that and therein lies the key to all religion...get them while they're infants and small children.

"Witchcraft, in various historical, anthropological, religious and mythological contexts, is the alleged use of supernatural or magical powers. " Description of witchcraft isn't that much different from normal church practices.
