I was just wondering what people think about this?
Is it okay for the female to ask her significant other to marry her? I personally, don't see a problem with this but I was just curious what others think.

Since most couples date for years and usually live together first, the idea of marriage shouldn't be a big surprise. It should be a mutual agreement. I don't really see the need for the grand proposal gesture that puts all the pressure on the guy.

I'm fine with it too so if any of you women would like to propose I'll certainly consider the offer.

Not a problem with me.

These are liberated times, after all.

I guess the only question would hang over the man receiving the proposal, and his openness to the idea.

I say go for it. No ticket = no lottery win.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with doing it.

However, it may set a tone for the marriage that you don't like. If a guy wants to marry you, he'll ask.

I think the old fashioned notion of a man getting down on bended knee and asking for a womans hand in marriage is so sweet but, I can see where in these days, a woman may be the one asking and I'm perfectly fine with it.
