My manufactured community very hard hit, still without power or water.
Homes maybe 1/3 each 'not too bad' to savable to destroyed.
I'm still with friends with part time generator use ( gas so very hard to get, lines up to a mile long , better today)Very few places to get groceries and ALL other businesses in this section still closed.
Every day gets a little better.
Got internet back yesterday then my computer decided to die...on a new one now.
That's it for now.
That's sounds awful! But you survived!
Thx for the update, hope you can get back to normal soon

My first dabbling into puff pastry tonight. Not bad, made some meat pies that would have made any Colombian proud.

You are a soldier - all that folding and rolling, resting, sheesh! If you ever want to take a shortcut, Jons market has a wide assortment of ready to fill and bake sheets of puff pastry in the freezer section. I have used Pepperidge Farms frozen pastry sheets and the shells too - great results.

TBH, I love the savory pastries more than the sweet ones. What goes into a Colombian meat pie?

Lol, oh hell no, I used the peppridge farms sheets. Lol I guess I should have been more clear. Empanadas can have just about anything in them. Grilled onions and peppers with ground beef with chili and cumin seasonings with some jack cheese. Good stuff. I used pioneer woman's recipe but there are tons out there.

We just had a mild earthquake here about five minutes ago. What a splendid way to cap this day.

All these earthquakes lately are making me nervous.

Where was it centered? I didn't notice it at all.

Epicenter was in Westwood, 3.8. Some of my classmates had no idea where Westwood is. They thought it was in Orange County.

If you would just go to bed at a decent time, instead of running around sideways all puffed up frisky with the night crazies, you wouldn't know about earthquakes and such.
