I keep telling myself that I have to stop spending money, so what did I just do? Bought a dress on sale and a groupon for a restaurant I like. Somebody stop me.

My DD is in med school...plastic surgery is one of the most competitive specialties..really shocking that there are so many doctors willing to create these "freaks"...when clearly they are mentally disturbed...at some point money has to stop being a priority and your reputation should matter...

Yeah, I agree, I was just talking with Mrs. Chow about it and when she first saw her she let out a sorta audible gasp. I don't get it. She had apparently some ribs removed and that potentially puts your organs at risk. I can't imagine a doctor doing something like that. Probably taking capitalism a little too far

Don't get me started on that chest. LOL, good lord.

I was watching some show on TV about plastic surgery and they were interviewing some people that had so much work done that they didn't look natural at all, I mean not a little nip here or there, I mean multiple surgeries, one guy was trying to look like a Ken doll and instead literally looked like a circus freak. I'm not trying to being mean spirited here just saying it was horrendous.

LOL, again, I guess people can spend their money how ever they want.

Who ever started this trend of co-ed baby showers needs to get a serious flogging.

Jeez, we have to go to one in a few weeks and I'd rather have hot wax poured in my eyes than waste a Saturday afternoon doing something like that. I'm already less than thrilled about the ages of these kids having a baby and now it's "we" as opposed to just Mrs. Chow having to show up. LOL

Rant over.

Honestly, I think co-ed baby showers are good. Both the mom and the dad are becoming parents, and friends and family of the mom and the dad celebrating is not a bad thing. Having it be woman-only is a throwback to the idea that kids are just woman's work and men don't have to be bothered, and that's not right.

I couldn't care less about the greater social implications. I just don't wanna waste a Saturday afternoon.

I think these kids having a baby at 20 year old is a tragedy in of itself, LOL. They just threw the rest of their youth down the drain with all of that responsibility. I guess that's a harsh way of looking at it, but that's how I feel.
