That sun on your face, the wind in your hair, it's like something that can't be spelled out. I love it....

It's a feeling of free-ness, one-ness, power and independence.

I like roasting veggies with olive oil and sprinkling with McCormick's steak seasoning for a change of pace.

Yeah, I just can't get into them, which is odd because I love cabbage and bok choy. Same deal with kale: can't stand it no matter what is done to it ("Vile weed!!"). I think that's one of my issues: they need to be drowned in stuff to make them palatable, but I'm accustomed "naked" veggies with, at most a tiny bit of salt or a drizzle of soy sauce.

I've never been a fan of kale. I have a few recipes that call for it and I just use spinach instead.

Brussels sprouts are one of those things that I thought I hated as a kid, but find they're not so bad as an adult. I make a casserole with chicken, wild rice, and sprouts that is pretty good.

My daughter makes kale chips. They love them, and I think they taste as bad as they smell.

OMG kale chips. I know so many people who claim that they're so much better than potato chips. The first time I had them I thought I was eating dirt. They're an affront to snack food.

^^ I tried making them (first in the oven and then the food dehydrator) and was convinced I must have done it wrong. So, I shelled out 3 bucks for a little bag of them at the store... nope, still awful.

LOL. That's how my luck runs, too.

Well, it has been a tough week for me. I'm not sure WHY I thought C-D would be a distraction, but some other threads just make me flabbergasted. I think I'll go back the cleaning floors for the night.
