You could have just as easily focused on what makes some women not marriage material. There are "messed up" and "unlovable" people of both genders. None of it matters. If you feel society thinks you're unlovable, find a woman who feels similarly abandoned by society. The pool to draw love from is as deep as we require it to be. Unless, of course, we've never really been looking for a companion but only think we have.

What we are all looking for from a relationship is a person who is not going to be a problem to us. But the truth is the only person who is not a problem to us is ourselves. Maybe the people who have been alone so long and feel pain about it are smart enough to know a regular relationship won't work for them but just ignorant enough not to realize they are looking for themselves?
