Sugar if it's the right girl, you shouldn't have to worry and just be yourself. If she doesn't like you the way you are, then she's not right for you. There is no reason to try to entertain a woman or man all the time - it's not a good relationship if you do.

You cannot make someone be interested in you, but you can be with someone who is interested in you. To maintain that interest and not kill it, you need to treat that person with a giving attitude (what you can do for them) instead of a taking attitude (what they can do for you). There are tons of ways that can manifest itself.

It's not a "task". It just comes naturally when you find the right person. She's with you because she chooses to be. Because you're interesting, thoughtful of her, fun and/or intelligent, stable, etc.

"long term" honestly gives me a headache.
If a girl is interested in you, nothing is going to change her mind about you. But seriously, nobody can plan the future. Who knows what future holds. For the time being, just enjoy whatever you have. Nobody is psychic here. If you have to do something special to keep her interested, this is not going to be a good relationship.
Keep her interested by being your real, true self. Don't lie or try to impress her. Tell her you fears and your deepest secrets, your hopes and dreams and goals in life.
If she is compatible with you, this will bring you closer and create a real bond. If she is not, you will both find out sooner and be able to move on to other mates that suit you better.
