Hey, you can always try it and see if you like it - years ago, before I met my husband I paid for 6 months of e-Harmony. It would have been nice to get it as a present :-) Didn't have luck with finding a "soulmate" or anything of the sort on there, but made a few friends.
My dad, the sweet thing, surprised my at lunch today!
Dad: "Vale, you are divorced now, you have being alone for over 3 years, it is time for you to find a guy to make you happy"
Me: "I am not sure I am ready just yet, the divorce papers were just signed 2 weeks ago, I'll think about it" I am getting this tingly feeling now, you know, something is up but you are not quite sure what yet...
Dad: "Nonsense! I have just the thing for you! I have paid for a 3 month subscription at e-Harmony! I know you are busy with work, and your volunteer stuff, and you are always going out with your girlfriends, but you have yet to find a date!"
Me: *turning 10 different shades of red* "Hmmm... how do you know that I don't date?" OMG!!!
Dad: "Because I have not met any boyfriend"
Me: "huh" I had no answer LOL
Dad: " So, go onto the website, this is your user ID and psswd, I just entered your basic info, so fill it out and go find yourself a nice date "
Me: "huh"
So now I am stuck with a e-Harmony profile... I just can't stop laughing, bless my dad's heart he is just too much sometimes
Well... it is interesting to say the least I think I can certainly say I now know what I do not want but it is hard to pin-point what I DO want
Who would have thought that getting back on the datin scene would have being so hard? and strange?
