It appears the situation with the girl last thread I made is at it's end, so I am moving on. I'm not going to dwell on such a drawn out situation.
I met a woman on a dating site, who is nearly 40 years old. (I am 22).
I find her very attractive, and she said she is just looking for people to hang out with and new friends. She told me she was a great cook and said she'd love to cook me dinner.
My question is, why would a woman nearly twice my age be so interested in getting to know me?
She's a cougar or lonely. She may need a young thing to spice up her life. The young keep the old up what is hip and cool. Think about it men her age(not all) are burned out. Or careless of what is going on. Or maybe she is immature. Then again maybe she needs you cause she needs to feel needed. Hence the cooking food for you. Go with what feels right to you. Don't listen to others...not everyone is on your team.

Does she just want sex?
She loves to cook and wants to be "friends?"
Lonely and horny.
She could just want sex. More likely she's just lonely. Cause if she is half way decent looking she could get just "sex" if she wanted it.
No offense, but I do question why a normal mature adult woman would want to be with a guy that could be her sons age.
Maybe all she wants is sex.
I know that I wouldn't want to be with a woman who is 22, I'm low 40's myself.
This sounds right to me. The maturity level and life experience between 40's and early 20's can make it hard to relate on a deeper level. It's a sizeable difference. Im 35, and agree with Chowhound. I could not relate on a deeper level with a 22 year old. This might be biased because I was on my own at 19 and grew up fast.

Likely a combination of the two. I don't necessarily think she's mmature, but probably does feel as if she has to be needed. Probably wants the sex too.
Why would you be interested in a 40 years old woman?
Because some of those women still look damn good!
