Planning to get married? It is better to see a pre marital counselor because he may be able to save your marriage from failure even before you get married. If you wish to lead a happy life with your partner, it is better to undertake the counseling before getting married.

Its best to see a counselor who will give you advice on why not to get married.

If you have to think about seeing one of these guys from the get go because your worried about a failure, that tells you something right there.

don't do it.

You essentially answered your own question: if you even have to think about something like this, you shouldn't be getting married.

Anyone who needs true "counseling" before the wedding is not ready to be married.

What couples do need is more of a life skills class on the basics - how to have good effective communication, how to learn to live together and show respect for their differences, how to be a team player and true partner.

They also need to have a thorough understanding and plan for how they will share their money, who will pay the bills, what religion their children will be brought up in, will there even BE any children and if so, how many. If one partner is an early riser and one is night owl, when will they have sex. Oh, and how much sex per week is agreeable to both. THESE are the "issues" couples should seek to resolve before a marriage

Pre-marriage counselling can prevent an ill-advised union. How many women marry men who later turn out to be abusers, batterers, cheats?

They are professionals.

Why do you think so marriages fail in the first place?
