I don't think it should put off any "sensible" buyer. My God, what has this country come to? I wouldn't feel any sympathy for those "poor buyers" at all. Puke happens. So what? I feel bad for the seller, it's obvious they are beating themselves up over something they couldn't control. And the buyers refused to see the rest of the house because of a kitty accident? I mean if you take a look beyond the kitty puke and see a clean and inviting home, why would you *not* go look at the house? Insane. Must have been a pet hater. Or just didn't like the house once inside and used the "kitty puke" as an excuse....
Or the buyer thought that where there's puke, pee can't be far behind. I think many people consider cats to be messy and destructive, what with the puking, peeing, scratching, bon-bons, and (in my cat's case), projectile snot. That's because many cats are ... messy and destructive. I haven't gotten rid of mine, but I tell her that she is one nasty cat.
Some people don't like pets or scared of them. Or they are allergic to them. If possible, it's probably best to have the pets not around in the house. But that's my preference as a would be buyer who is scared of pets.
what's a little poop?!! My whacko neighbor had a D o u c h e Bag hanging on the towel bar in all its glory....even during an open house. Nothing says welcome home like a pink hygiene product
....along with her 2 dirty cat pans and nasty old plastic container of water on the living room hearth.

Well, you couldn't accuse your whacko neighbor of not being fresh and clean

Hey, the douche bag conveyed with the house! LOLOL!
The feedback said the buyers was put off by the cat's mess and didn't want to finish the walk through,
If cat puke offended me, I'd have to move out of my own house. I had to clean up two such "gifts" just this morning. Those must have been some real skittish buyers who spend their evenings watching too much HGTV.

If I had been them, I would've wanted to know how often the cat has puked and wondered than how bad were the carpets
They can always replace them.
