YEAH for you!!! Hopefully the little name thing won't halt things, but I seriously doubt it. Computers are wonderful for correcting things fast and spitting out another copy.
Good luck tomorrow and here's to hoping that things go really smoothly.

The original post brings up some of the shortcomings of the system we use. I have an escrow agent who seems like she won't make a move unless I tell her to do something. "Should I call your buyer and schedule him to come in and sign the papers?" Well, uh yeah that would be good because it's the two of you needing to be in the same place at the same time. Other escrow agents barely have the time to call me and tell me where they are in the process, so it becomes incumbent on me to drag the information out of them.
I try to let my clients know about the entire closing process at the time they sign the last set of contract documents so they know what to expect and when to expect it. I did have a closing this year that the escrow agent and my client worked everything out and I got a call 46 hours after opening escrow from the escrow officer telling me that she had all the documents and recorded the deal before I even knew she had them. nice, but made me look a bit of the fool (Oh well, it's happened before).
I think the best thing for anyone involved in a transaction, is to pick up the phone and call the source if they have any questions whatsoever.
I'm glad the OP is getting her deal done, but it shouldn't have been a mystery to her.
