My wife and I are sticking around the Triangle this year for Thanksgiving. We were thinking of going out to eat that day but we aren't looking for a place that serves a traditional Thanksgiving type fare.

I know Piper's Tavern is in North Raleigh open from 7pm-2am that day serving Pizza and Wings. Are there any other places (Anywhere in the Triangle) that will be open Thanksgiving but will be serving food other than turkey?

Thanks!

Thanks, but perhaps something that doesn't have a drive-thru window.

I think your selection is pretty slim as most places close for the day. I know some Asian type places often stay open. I hear the Golden Corral will have a huge TG dinner, but still serve its other types of food too. You could always avoid the turkey.

Chef of India in Cary is open (we were just ther etonight and saw the sign on the door). It's one of our favorite places and if it weren't for me insisting on traditional turkey dinner ,my hubby would gladly be eating T'giving there instead!

Last year our family did Thanksgiving the weekend before when we were all together and on Thanksgiving we had a quiet meal at Cracker Barrel.

Another vote for just about any kind of non-western ethnic food. Great chance to go out for Thai, good Indian or other kinds of food.

Also, I was at Conolly's Pub last night in Cary. They will be open, but only on the bar-side, so I don't know how much food they'll have. It's Irish food. Pretty good, but not "great".
