We love Red Bowl Asian Bistro in Cary. It is a combination of Chinese, Thai and Japanese. It's one of the best, no doubt. We have never been disappointed and we were basically weekly customers. We had our own booth.
Everyone has different tastes in Asian food. Personally, we think the Red Bowl is the worst Asian Food we've ever had....the sushi is the only decent thing there. We found most of the other dishes tasted like thickened soy sauce. I'd highly recommend:
1. Tangerine Cafe corner of Cary Parkway/Old Apex Rd. Fantastic food! Small non-descript place.
2. Sushi-Thai - Kilmayne/Kildaire Farm Rd - huge menu, nice atmoshere.
Hope you have a great dinner.

Meat and vegetable with brown sauce seems to be a pretty common theme at Red Bowl (not impressed).
My favorite chinese places right now are Super Wok and 35 Restaurant (their chinese menu).

Can't say offhand, but I do know that if you have to walk up to a counter and order, don't expect to be dazzled. (PS I have been to places like that where the food was good, but that doesn't exist anywhere in the Raleigh/Cary area).
Anyone comment on the places along Chapel Hill Blvd? Don't recall names offhand but I've seen a bunch.
