My granny in Eastern NC always planted on Good Friday. While I'm neither religious or superstitious, she grew the best tomatoes ever. My Daddy (a master garderner in E. NC) plants some before Good Friday and some on Good Friday. I can always tell the difference even when he doesn't tell me which are which. The Easter Friday ones always taste better to me. It makes no sense scientifically to me. But considering the cold weather coming, it might make sense to wait until Friday.
