Are there any restuarants that serve good fried green tomatoes? I had some at NoFo in Wilmington with pimento cheese. They were great! If there is a place in Durham that would be wonderful though I don't mind trekking to Raleigh. Thanks.

Yet another vote for Mapa Dip's in Chapel Hill or Tupelo's in Hillsborough. I think both places serve their fried green tomatoes with ranch dressing on the side.

Mama Dip's fried green tomatoes are really, really good. As is her pecan pie!

But that sampler appetizer platter for 10.95 was a rip off!!!!!

I mean they gave us 4 hush puppies, 4 small slices of a fried green tomato a small cup of sliced pickels, some fried zuccinni and some small fried oinions.

seriously there was not a dollar on the plate!!!

I was so upset about it that I called the place and spoke to someone who was well indifferent.

Thats just it why is it when a place gets famous they do this type of stuff. seriously we went to dips because my wife had spent years watching about her on Oprah and reading about how she started the place and sure the food was tasty but like I said I felt ripped off. That is why I would not go back.
